Well, ya I am kicking myself in the butt....I should have started this sooner, but here we go.
Updates, updates, updates, that is what this blog is all about. So, your probably thinking well, chicky, lets go lol
Where to start, that is the question :)
We could start with Piper,
quiet, cute, pretty little Piper and I do say that with a hint of sarcasm lol Or we could start with Xander, outgoing, smart Xander. But lets start with Thomas, caring, kind Thomas.
Thomas has been shocking the heck out of me lately. He has made lots of friends, friends who are almost fighting for his time lol Yes, one of which is a girl, but we can discuss that later lol He has made friends at school who like to spend time with him and like hangin out with him after school and on the weekends. Take this weekend, for instance. I think three of his friends wanted him to come over. One of his friend's parents sent us a letter last weekend asking if Thomas could come to their sons b-day party on Sunday. So they picked him up at 2:00 and he didn't get home 'til about 7:30.
Then, I think it was Tuesday, he went to the same kids house after school and got dropped off at home for supper.
Then there is the matter of the girl. She is in Thomas' class, therefore has issues similar to Thomas. Difference is she is doing well academically, whereas Thomas, Goddess love him, is not doing so well in that respect. She has been getting Thomas to come out to her church for youth group, which he seems to enjoy. She seems like a nice girl, a little louder than most, opinionated, oh wait, sounds like Thomas lol No, I don't think this is a girlfriend and we are definitely not teasing him about her. No, seriously.
School on the other hand is a pain for him. Monday morning he starts a suspension. Up to his old tricks, stealing from classmates. So, he is grounded, no hangin' out with friends this weekend and 200 hours community service in the home. So I am back to being grounded. Ah, the life of a mom :(
Xander is doing really well, fit right into his class here as if he had been with these kids since kindergarten. He has made friends with a boy named Finn, who lives right around the corner from us. I gave Xander little sticky notes with our phone number on them to give to Finn and some of his other friends from class. When he got home that day, I asked him if he gave out the stickys and of course, he had forgotten. So then I gave him a note for Finn to give to his mom with our phone number and, go figure, he forgot about that one too. On the third try, the note finally got passed to Finn, problem was that they were playing and the note got dirty. I found out later from Finn's mom, that she never got the note. Finally, my friend from down the road gave Finn's mom my email and so now the boys have a play date on Thursday.
Piper is doing ok.She has made friends with a little girl down the street. It was really funny how that happened. We would take Xander to the bus in the am or meet the bus at the end of the day, and the lady down the road would come out with her husky and her baby in the stroller and her little girl and Piper would be playing with the little girl. So the mom and I would start talking about getting the girls together for a play date. Then one day, I had popped into the city to visit with a friend of mine and when I got home, the mom had dropped in and kidnapped Piper for the afternoon lol I picked her up later that afternoon and we went down to the playroom to clean up.....I was amazed by all the pink. Now I should mention this is a family with 4 girls. And their oldest is Thomas' age, so they have been collecting girl toys for 14 years lol. Strawberry shortcake, my little pony, barbies, polly pockets, cabbage patch dolls. Man, they had it all :) Piper was in her glory and didn't want to leave lol
Anyway, I think I have run off enough for one post...more to come, I promise.
I miss you guys very much and hope this helps keep you up to date better than I have been lately. And this way you can open this up whenever you want, even at 2:00 am. Love you guys very much xoxoxo
